PRASIS members have an individual policy of insurance as part of their membership. The underwriters are specialists in professional indemnity based in the City of London.

With over 20 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, Sharon is one of the UK’s leading medical malpractice underwriters and a recognised authority on traditional and newer emerging risks that healthcare organisations and professionals face.
Responsible for designing and launching bespoke medical indemnity products and schemes,
Sharon works with leading hospitals and a wide range of affinity groups, including surgeons and dental practitioners. A highly respected speaker and market commentator, Sharon regularly contributes to industry publications and journals and appears at healthcare and medical conferences both in the UK and internationally.
Jo Clift – Medical Malpractice Underwriter, CFC
Jo has over 15 years’ experience as an underwriter, and has specialised in insurance for the healthcare industry for the last 14 years.
Having been a medical malpractice underwriter for nine of those years, she is a widely respected technical expert in this class of business and regularly supports brokers and clients at conferences around the UK. In addition to writing standard corporate programmes,
Jo has extensive experience in writing schemes for affinity associations and a wide range of individual practitioners.
