About PRASIS
PRASIS is a mutual, run exclusively by Plastic Surgeons for the benefit of the plastic surgical community. It is owned and governed by our members, all of whom are on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. PRASIS is strongly supported by the Chair and Clinical Board of Directors, the latter of which is responsible for the governance and strategy.
PRASIS has over 180 members, making it the largest community of indemnified Plastic Surgeons. It's sole aim is to protect plastic surgeons, by arranging an indemnity scheme and providing support and guidance to its members.
PRASIS has appointed The Medical Insurance Consultants (MIC), as its insurance broker because of their specialist expertise in professional indemnity insurance. The indemnity scheme is underwritten pre-dominantly by CFC Underwriting Ltd, the largest independent MGA in London, whose team of underwriters has extensive experience in medical indemnity.
